President Yoon Seok-yeol said on the 30th, “Korea, which hosts the 3rd Democracy Summit, will share and spread the universal values ​​of freedom, human rights and the rule of law, and take the lead in efforts to promote democracy around the world.”

President Yoon, who attended the Indo-Pacific regional meeting of the 2nd Democracy Summit held at the Shilla Hotel in Seoul, said, “This meeting reaffirms the will to defend democracy and marks a milestone when the countries of the Indian-Pacific region, whose geopolitical importance has increased, come together in one place. It means a lot in terms of providing it,” he said.

In particular, he added, “I hope that the insights and wisdom gathered at the first In-Tae regional meeting of the Democracy Summit will serve as a stepping stone to promote anti-corruption and democracy in the region.”

In addition, he said, “Korea has declared its will to contribute to the peace and prosperity of the international community. Today’s meeting is a place to once again confirm and declare our government’s will to implement this humanitarian strategy.”
