The Digital Communication Network and World Learning Host Brainstorming Session on Truth and Democracy
The Digital Communication Network Global (DCN Global) (https://dcnglobal.net/) and World Learning (https://www.worldlearning.org/) are pleased to announce a brainstorming session on the dynamic relationship between truth and democracy in the digital age, on March 31, 2023 (9:30 am – 12:30 pm). The event is being held in the context of the White House Summit for Democracy, which aims to highlight the critical role that democracies play in addressing global challenges.

A Global Perspective on Truth and Democracy
The session will feature a global panel with DCN experts from all over the world. The speaker line-up includes Carol Jenkins, CEO World Learning (U.S.), Nikos Panagiotou, Professor at Aristotle University of Thesaloniki and DCN Global President (Greece), Aribowo Sasmito, Founder of MAFINDO (Indonesia), Diana Filimon, President of Forum Apulum (Romania), Aurra Kawanzaruwa, Digital Influencer, Head of DCN Africa (Zimbabwe), Alexandre Le Voci Sayad, Director of Education, Media, and Culture and Co-chairman UNESCO MIL Alliance (Brazil), Yulia Reshitko, Senior Communication Consultant for Anti-corruption (Ukraine), and Jon Greenberg, Senior Correspondent at PolitiFact (U.S.)
Additionally, Franak Viacorka, Senior Advisor to Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya and DCN Global Vice President (Belarus), will talk about the digital battle for freedom and democracy. The session will focus on strategies to overcome challenges to truth and how democracies can work to promote the values of transparency and accountability.
The event will take place on March 31, 2023 (09:30 am – 12:30 pm), at World Learning (1015 Fifteenth Street, N.W., #1100, Washington, DC 20005).
