Ukrainian NGO “iDemocracy” together with «A21 Ukraine» would like to invite you to attend the event about human trafficking as a gross violation of human rights. The event will take place on Thursday, December 9, from 09:30 to 11:30 AM EST.
Human trafficking is a form of modern slavery that violates fundamental human rights, a person’s honour and dignity. This issue is relevant in the XXI century for every country in the world, and Ukraine is not an exception. Every year millions of people all over the world who search for a better life are enslaved. According to estimates by the International Center for the Prevention of Crime, the annual money flow of this transnational crime comprises $150 bln. It makes human trafficking the second largest source of criminal business.
Please feel free to join our analytical discussion regarding adopting the best international practices of preventing and countering this phenomenon to elaborate efficient mechanisms of fighting human trafficking in Ukraine and worldwide.
