Sincerely, we greet you from the Latin American and Caribbean Network for Democracy (REDLAD), Secretariat and Chair of the Community of Democracies Civil Society Pillar along with the African CS Pillar member Defend Defenders.
We hereby address you with the purpose of inviting you to the virtual event Democracy in Africa, Regional Trends and Impact on Women with the aim of creating a scenario for dialogue between members of the CSPillar in Africa, to reflect on democracy on the continent.
The objective of the panel is exchange experiences and national analyzes between members of the CSPillar in Africa that reflect on democracy on the continent and we would like you to give civil society views of the topic including, but not limited to, the regional trends that you have found.
The activity will take place on 30th March at 3:00 pm Kampala Time. Thank you in advance for your valuable participation in this important activity for the human rights agenda of the Community of Democracies.
Presenters
Panelists include Ann Hudock, President and CEO of Counterpart International, and Filsan Abdullahi Ahmed, Ethiopia’s former Minister of Women and Children, and two graduates of Counterpart’s Global Women in Management program, Thilma Komaling and Eva Rosa Santos. This hybrid event will be held at our D.C. office and online.
