Join Protect Democracy for a conversation with three noted experts about the national security risks of election disinformation and subversion. The briefing follows an open letter to Congress from nearly 100 national security officials highlighting the security dangers caused by efforts to destabilize our elections, including active disinformation campaigns, threats to election workers and efforts to inject partisan interference into professional election administration.
This event is on-the-record and will include open questions from the audience.
Key questions include:
- How are disinformation campaigns undermining trust in elections and what risks does this pose to elections and our national security?
- Why are record numbers of election officials leaving their jobs and how does this impact our national security?
- How do efforts to destabilize and subvert our elections affect our standing and influence on the world stage?
- What are some steps we can take to confront these challenges and harden our defenses against potential threats?
